i think 6000k be perfect for looks + light output, the higher K to go the more blue or purple it looks however light output sucks at higher K.

4300k has the best light output, the further you go away from 4300k the less light usable light you have on the road, so....if I had to have either 6000k or 8000k I would stick to the 6k's.

I have 6k in my heads & fogs and love it. Like stated above 43k has best light output but has a tint of yellow. 6k is a very nice white and has good light output.

i know a lot about some stuff but obviously not all stuff,,, if you have stock hid's are the 6k just plug n play? is there any difference between stock hid headlights and the 6k ones you guys are talking about?

how much would you expect to pay for hid fog kit + install, and is it worth it???

I bought (4) HID bulbs, (4) HID ballasts for my low beams and fog lights.

I had to buy a relay wiring harnes for my foglights because only one was coming on (this is a comin problem)

I paid $162.00 for everything and installed it myself in under 10-15 minutes. The hardest part was takeing out the drivers side low beam bulb and installing the HID bulb because there is no room for large hands to fit.

I also added a couple white LED's in my high beams DRL's for about $10 to match the 10,000k kit.

The light output is much better then stock and night time driving is much easier, the glare that these lights produce really light up the street signs, but slightly blind on coming traffic

The color output on the ground can be best explained as a fluorescent white similar to the white color from a cold cathode tube or white LED like those keychain lights as shown below...

When looking directly into the headlight assembly you will see mostly birght white, but with a hint of bluish/purple.

I do warn you though before you make your final decision... If you get anything higher then 8000k you will be heavily flammed and harrased by people that are running 4300k-6000k kits because they think your lights don't put out any light on the ground.

In this pic below you can see how nice and white the light is on the ground...

10000k and 12000k are both illegal. They do not provide enough light output and are harmful to oncoming drivers. 8000k looks great, but light output, IMO, sucks. 3000k is yellow and well, provides a lot of shadows if used as low beam headlights...4300k is okay, bright white, almost like a super-halogen. 6000k is the best i think....you tell me:
