I hear a strange noise with the air on
I drive a 1999 GS 300. While driving with the air conditon on, sometimes I can hear a rattling noise coming from the engine. I do not hear it all the time. If I turn the air condition off and on again, the noise will go away. But sometime it will come back again.
I only have 175,000 miles on the car and I have never missed a maintenance checkup at the dealer. So the car is in excellent shape. Does any body have an idea of what could be causing the rattling noise when the air condition is on?

Ac noise
I have a similiar problem:
What I did is I put the heat on 85 for a minute when the engine is hot, then back to 65 without ac and it will gow away. I think the firewall is absorbing heat and expanding, thus a ticking sound.
