Default Engine wouldn't turn off?

Ok so today I go and start it and it has some hesitation at first but it starts. When I turn it off it doesn't turn off it stays on but making a weired rumbling noise and the key is out but everything is still running. After 15mins. the car dies and the battery is died also??? and a burning smell from under the car?? any thoughts on what to do?

Possibly the starter solenoid seized up on you. It's supposed to disengage itself but it sounds like it's not doing that.

jeffs right, when you turn off car (pull out key) and the it sounds like the starter is still on, then you have a bad and stuck solenoid. I had the same problem, just get the starter replaced.
