Default Side View Mirror

This one is a 2 part question.

First, is the motor on the driver's side mirror supposed to be quieter (or maybe weaker) than the left passenger side? Please check it on your car to double check.

Second I ordered JDM mirrors and when I popped off the mirror and compared them, the US mirror has some extra wires going into the glass (I dont mean the cable that plugs into the back of it) where as the JDM ones dont. What are those wires supposed to do?

thanks
brian

thanks for the reply.
I might just take my car to lexus to have it checked out.

But regarding the link you sent me, im not installing a signal or anything. Im literally just replacing the mirror glass with a JDM one and aside from the wriring that plugs directly into the mirror which they both have the connector for, on the US spec mirror there is a second set of wires going into the mirror.

the gs is supposed to have 2 sets of wires. One that goes to the heater and a plug that is supposed to be for dimming.

I forgot about the dimming. I think if you shine a flashlight into your rearview mirror, when it dimms so should your sideviews.

So basically the JDM mirrors would be a downgrade from my US spec ones........

I feel kind of bad because I spend quite a bit on them and I am not allowed to return them.
