Hello everybody...i own a Blue Gs400 and i recently noticed a few scratches on my rear bumper so i went to the dealer and got touch up paint, gave the paint code and everything. As it turns out, the touch up paint is darker then my car color and is very noticeble. My question is: is it suppose to be like that or should the touch up blend in perfectly with my original color?

Touch-up painting is an art my good man. What I do is dap on the touch-up paint evenly, slightly and thoroughly. Process might take two coats. When it is done use very fine sandpaper and sand the touch up to the surface of the factory pairt/clear coat. Once that is done apply a layer of Turtle wax scratch remover or GS27 and use a buffer. When I get lucky, the touch-ups are very unnoticeable.

One thing I noticed ... is that when I apply a cleaner wax ... I was able to rub off some touch up spots that the previous owner had applied.
I've found that if you use multiple thin layers ... you can get a smoother finish...
But try waxing it if the scratches are small.

When I went to dealer the other day, they had a sign posted that said they fix scratches and chips on the paint. Does anyone know about this. How much does it cost or is it included with the service?

To answer your question, the touch-up paint should be a NEARLY exact match. There is slight variation in colors, even from the factory. They can't mix touch-up paint individually, so you get a bottle of "1998 Electric Blue" or whatever, and it will be darn close. If it's very noticeably off, then you should get another bottle.
