Decisions, Decisions....
I've got the opportunity to get a 2000 M5 for a really nice price but it would mean selling my GS. I'm really torn, part of me is thrilled with what I've done with the GS but then, I would have originally bought an M5 if price were no object. Now it would probably work out close to a wash.
I'm rambling but I guess what I'm wondering is if there really is a market for selling my car at a decent price?

I was in the same situation back in Sep. last year. A fully moded 2000 M5 with 19" Hartge, Hamann body kit, 14" Brembo brake, B&B exhaust, short shifter and cam gear upgrade. I was going to do a trade with some cash. And then the 911 came, I kind of put this luxury thing on hold.
Last week I talked to my friend about the M5, it's gone with a trade of a 2000 Viper GT

Mr J,
With the current recession and the luxury car market being as bad as it is right now, your going to see some really good deals on M5's and E55's. I just turned down a really good deal on an E55 to get my GS.
If you must sell the GS to pay form the M5, then you are probably going to take a bath on your car. If you can afford to keep them both until you get a decent offer on your GS, then I would say go drive the M5 again to see if that's what you really want.
Otherwise, enjoy your recent mods for another year while you continue to save for the new body style M5.

Flexor: I believe I will have to agree with you. I've done some legwork to see what the market is like for a modified sport "luxury" sedan (Which was my original question) and I must say that it does not appear to be good. I can't see sinking the money into two depreciating assets so I guess I'll just watch, wait and see if an opportunity arises in the future.
