hey guys,
i am new here so i dont know how this works but here goes any way, my check engine light came on so i had the computer scanned for the problem by my mechanic, however he does not really know what the problem is, the message said its some type of vent, he thinks it is the evaporator, but i dont know. can any one help?

I'm going to guess that the code is a "P0441".
If so... could be a number of things.
1) gas cap seal is bad
2) Evap solonoid is bad
3) there is a vacuum leak somewhere or a leak in one of the fuel lines
4) the purge control valve is stuck open or closed

I had this code and my mechanics checked it out and the hose to the solenoid was split in half he changed the hose and reset the ecu and no more code. You'll know if its the hose because youll hear a slight sputtering sound in the engine bay.
