Hmm. That's not really the look I am going for If I get something like this: http://www.weaponspeed.com/Lexus-98-...4-p-23308.html and have it dropped so it looks better?

The car I saw (the same as mine) looked just like that and I wasn't a fan no offense. If I get those springs/shocks listed above will I be good looks wise? Also, is it guaranteed it'll look like that with 20's and stock suspension? I've seen cars on here with the 20's on stock suspension that look fine?

we are beating around this topic.

IF you want 20's with stock suspension IT IS UP TO YOU.

There is no rule anywhere that states you need to lower the car when you put 20's on it. It all depends on rim size, tire size and offsets when you lower the car. I havent seen any post with that info as far as what you got.

Here's my buddies GS with stock suspension and 20's, the tires are 255/35/20...

Doesn't look too shabby if you ask me. What do you guys think?

Not shabby at all. Except it would look much much better with a drop. A small drop can do wonders to a car's appearance.

I have 20's on stock suspension and they look great .. a drop would set it off but my front tires get a slight rub on a big bump. I am weery of whats going to happen when I drop it. Luckily I hae my stock 17's and Am going with coilovers when I drop it so we will see what happens

Boy this place has changed

For the "complete" look, get 20s and drop the car. Otherwise it looks like shoes with laces untied with a suit on.

So does anyone have one with 20's and a drop that doesn't rub or know of one that does? If so, please explain what the tire size and offset was, what you used to lower it including name brand, and what the ballpark cost was to buy it and have it installed. Like plat, I cannot find definitive answers in the search function. Pics would help also. Would def appreciate a good answer or pm about this.

here is what everyone will tell you,

1) Lower your car first-

2) get rims

this is not a rule or anything but with even with 19" on our cars and no drop make the cars look like crap.

when i was new on this forum i asked the same questions and everyone said what they have been telling you, but i didnt listen and i want ahead and got 19" volk wheels because i though wheels look hotter and seem like an instant different look on the car. when i put the rims on i didnt like the look at all it looked worse than stock.

less than a week i picked up some tein coilovers and the drop changed the look of the car.

(you can either buy just the springs and use your stock suspension or which i would recommend get tein or other good brand coil-overs)

then i picked up some forged 20" 245/35/20 in front and 285/30/20 back, i had to roll my fenders but i was running too wide of tires. with decent aggressive offset.

your rubbing issues will depend on offset of your tire anything 35+offset i think would rub after the drop.

when i had my 20 " its wasn't not dropped alot but enough so it looks decent, but i can drive my car everywhere i have been to NY to VA and etc so far so good no bends or anything, i have the rims off cuz of the winter and running 18" which is dropped to the max my coilovers can handle.

Think I'm personally going to go with a set of 19"s and coilovers......
