20's with stock suspension look...
When you put 20" wheels on a car that is made with 16" wheels ('00 gs300) do the 20's raise the car up or is there just less tire on the rim you know what I mean?
I saw my gs300 today and I'm pretty sure he had 20's on it but it looked awfully ghetto almost like a subaru outback the way the rims raised the car so I'm thinking he didn't drop the car. I've seen stock suspension on here with 20's and it looks fine so I'm confused...

Cool. Thanks for the input. I just talked to the place I ordered them from and he said that it would raise the car up less than a 1/2 inch. They are finally shipping today (knock on wood) after a long wait so I can't wait, i'll post pics You got any pics of your Lex?

it also depends on the tire size. for example i have xxx by 35 by 20 on the front and 275 x 30 x 20 on the rear. on the rear of my car it looks sweet with the big rims it fills almost the whole wheel well, like its been lowered a little, but my front looks like it could use an inch drop to fill the whole wheel well. i have also heard that 20's will rub if you drop the car, like if i dropped my car an inch with 20 x 10 rims i hear they might rub a lot...
when i compare my stock tires next to my low pro 20's the low pros are about 3 inches taller so if you divide that by 2 that is how much it will raise the car.

yeah, Soja is correct the profile of the tire makes a big a difference in the looks of it. I have 30 profile on my GS and without lowering it it looked like I was ready for a offroad course.

If you're offsets are correct, you can lower without any rubbing problems or with minimal shaving of the fender or modification of the fender liner.

To each his own I guess. I'll have to wait and see, i'm going by what the wheel guy is telling me so we'll have to see. Regarding lowering, do I have to get a kit or can I bring my car somewhere and have it done?

I hope I am just rushing here but if the car does look ghetto fab with the 20's on the stock suspension, I was looking around and found http://www.weaponspeed.com/Lexus-98-...4-p-23308.html When lowering with 20's do I now run into a whole new set of possible rubbing and other issues? I wish I just got 18's lol...
