Heres some more info and a better picture.
I think I will also do this also when I have time. I just need to look for a wiring diagram so I can figure out where to splice the power and ground.
I would probably do something like pure drifter, and cut a hole in the center console for the switch or put it near the drivers side where I would have easy access to it.

I put the unit in my GS the other day. Its very simple and works well. I drilled a hole in my center console for the switch and the 3.5mm aux wire. You can put either where ever you think it would work best. I tapped the 12v in the console to power up the unit. Took me about an 1.5 hours to get it in.

I didn't take any of the install. I was in a hurry. I could take a pic of where i drilled into the center console if you like. Also, the 3.5mm line is run from the center console. I just shut the lid on the wire. Its fine.

If you arent comfortable with cutting wires or pulling the console and radio apart then I wouldnt do it. All you really do is just remove the console lining, the cup holder area, and the radio. Put the antenna into the unit, and the units antenna connection into your radio. Then tap into some source for power. I put the box underneath the cup holder area. There should be enough room. Then test the unit and adjust the loudness. Make sure that it isn't too loud or you will get noise and distortion. Then put everything back together.

There will always be some distortion. As long as you do not boost the sound up really high you should be ok. If you are really **** about distortion, you should looking into puredrifters solution.

If there's still distortion you might as well buy a wireless FM transmitter. Which suck by the way. This just sounds like more work for you to do with the same results as the wireless transmitter. Might be better off going the old school way and getting the tape adapter.

I bought the item in the OP and installed it.
There was loss of clarity for highs and muddy lows. Pretty disappointing, really.
The fidelity with a cassette adapter is considerably higher.
