I did the DIY Aux in from PureDrift and i loved it, but i just got a Avelectronic video converter and came across a easier and cleaner way to get aux in from stock decks. I tried doing a search on it and didnt come up with anything so i dont know if this is old but if your looking to add aux in to stock stereo consider this
Directed RFM100 Wired FM Modulator.

This is not the one i got but its similar im just using it for reference. Its also very easy to install. You unplug the oem antena and plug it into the modulator. Then you plug the modulator antena back to your factory stereo tap a ground and power and there you go. And it sounds great no interference because its direcly connected no wireless sound waves.
Thought i would share this. Opps this might be in the wrong section?

Yeah it still uses a fm station and i think 89.9 is the frequency it uses. So what ever you have pluged into the rca comes out of the speakers. So far clean sound and no interference.

Hmmm..... I may consider this for my ipod. The FM transmitter thing I have has way too much static and interference. The only thing I like about mine is that charges while I'm playing music.
Anybody have a review about RFM100?
I thought about the VAIStech one but I have a 98'.

How is the sound coming out of the stock radio? Do you have any interference or any problems with that?
I guess I would need to find a stock radio wiring diagram to splice into the power and ground. If anyone has one please post it up.

Driving around for the weekend i got to say i like it alot. I think the DIY aux in from Puredrift sounds better but this way you dont have to chop up your wires. Yes its a Fm modulator but it doesnt transmit threw radio wave its just direct plug in threw rca so you dont get any interference. You do hear some static when no sound is on vt when you have music it sounds good just like a CD Player.

I got a LG Muziq phone and it has a built in Fm modulator.
I purchased a 4GB micro sd card and loaded it up. Just turn it on and select FM transmitter and it works perfect! Sound quality is the same as any other FM channel, stereo playback, no wires no extra components, etc...
Best thing is it allows you to select ANY FM channel, from 88.1 to 108FM, just select whatever channel has the most dead air.
It actually will work approx. 20ft from the car, I wonder if I hijack channels as I drive by others?

O.k sorry it does transmit threw a fm station but it doesnt go up in the air then to the fm modulator. It just go straight to the fm modulator and comes out of the stereo so you dont get any interference or weak signal its a direct line fm modulator.
Does that makes sense? Sorry im not a tech guy thats what i was told when i got it installed with the dvd player.
