Sent you a PM. I found three more cars for you to look at that look awesome and have fewer miles. They are a bit more money but you are seeing that the car holds its value pretty well. It seems that you a looking for "the car" and the car that you just looked at doesn't sound like it is the one. Talk to these other people, they may want to sell their car as much as you want to buy it. Good luck!

Well the verdict came in today and he is not willing to go any lower than $17,600. The KBB on the car is only $17,230 and it had some scratches and paint issues that bothered me, though I did offer him $17,250 as my final offer.
He still won't go any lower than $17.6 so...I told him good luck. I appreciate all of the input here, and hopefully at some point I will be back.
Thanks gentlemen!

Congratulations, i hope its not the one i saw at Carmax in Stockbridge a month ago. It was clean but after looking closely at t we could see it had been wrecked & repaired. They had one Sport Design headlight & one standard one and the fenders didn't line up.

The car I found was from a private owner, and I must say that I am really surprised with my situation and his reluctance to move off $17,600, for a few reasons:
- He listed the car at $17,999 but I was thinking...everyone lists the car high to give themselves some negotiating room, surely he is willing to work with me. Turns out he is willing to come down $400 and nothing less.
- The buyer also told me that he is getting rid of the car because he financed it and wants it off his credit report so that he can buy a house. I guess he found a particular home that he wants to buy and he specifically mentioned to me that he, "...wanted to have the car sold by May 27th, and the closer that he got to that date the more aggressive he would become with the pricing." Not going below $17,600 on a car that KBBs at $17,200 a week before your deadline doesn't seem "aggressive" to me.
- As noted above, the car has been repainted and even then had a few scratches and nicks on the front and rear, didn't have the sport design side logos or sport design spoiler. Considering all of this, the car is REALLY probably worth like $16,500 TOPS but I really wanted the saddle leather.
- He also mentioned that he hasn't had any other solid hits on the car, and I am really baffled at his lack of willingness to make a deal over $400, when he is allegedly so desperate to get out of the car.
Honestly, I will be surprised if I do not hear anything back from him about the car. I really don't forsee him getting an offer of $17,600 within the next seven days. Even if he does rebound, I'm not moving off my last offer of $17,250.
