This is really bothering me. I have a 05 GS300 which I haven't had much luck with since I got it(2 accidents because of my negligence , 1 hit and run, 1 hit and no run by somebody without insurance, who hasn't payed yet, catching fire because audio installer didnt do a good job. ) Anyway, this is my issue, whenever I'm on the highway and i hit 75 mph and up, My car starts smelling like fart. Has anyone experienced this before. Please help. I read somebody's car smelling like fart because of the battery but I think this is a different case. This is really embarrassing especially when im with my girlfriend. Thanks guys.

 

If i rmemeber correctly it's sulfur in the gas.
When I put cheap gas (premium but from a cheap station) in my gs430 it would smell like gas under the same circumstances, but not no more.

 

eh.. the sulfur smell is normal... disgusting... but normal... unless its like really strong and inside the car.. thats a whole other issue..

 

change your coolant, or wipe your butt

LMAO. That was too funny. Anyway, I always use premium chevron or shell gas. Does mileage matter?because believe it or not, My car just turned 100,000. I drive that car way too much. I do housecalls and its my dd. Does that affect the cc? I know nothing about cars.

 

Check your air filters in the engine bay, as well as the cabin filter.

EN_VY, I have the same problem. I also have an 05 GS3 and after driving it for around 3 months I started to notice the FART smell.
Took it into Lexus and they couldn't find the problem. I had them change the cabin air filter 2x but the problem didn't go away.

After 2 1/2 years it just went away on its own. So now i'm Fart free!

hahah awesome. it sounds, er rather, smells like your cat is dying (meo~w) or the cheap-*** gas has a good amount of sulfur. i'm leaning towards the cat
