I think a good quality paint job is going to be a bit pricier than that

if thats your budget i suggest you "get MAACO".
you would be better off just saving up more money and getting it sprayed properly.

For a good paint job you are looking at $1200 just for materials alone..Paint and materials for my car was over $2000.00 and thats before even touching the car.I would think $3000 would be a good number to go with depending on how much body work is involved and if its the stock color.

Why are materials so expensive?
Is Lexus paint that inflated? $2000 for paint sounds ridiculous to me, an average car person.

No Way!!
Yeah 1200 bucks is definitely not enough, Few years back it cost me $2700 to paint my 91' civic!!! (few customizations too!). But she's gone now : (

Yeah, I spent about $1600 for the paint materials at Jobber prices.
PPG Vibrance is not cheap.
Due to the more recent requirements that paints be "low-VOC"
the cost of materials has gone up a lot.
$1200 to repaint a Lexus? Man, are you in for sticker shock!

For $1200 you can get the back bumper and roof done at a pretty decent shop. We all thouht you meant you wanted to repaint the whole car for $1200
