I run a carfax every time I buy knowing that it may not show everything. I like to know how long the dealer/owner had the car before I get into negotiations

EVERYONE should run carfax before purchasing. Although it might not show minor fender benders, atleast it saves the headache. Better then nothing.

I checked carfax on both my Lexus & BMW before purchase.

My car had a clean carfax report before purchasing but you can tell the front bumper was repainted and the front driver side window was replaced.

Having that report done is always a good thing when buying a vehicle used but there's always that chance that a used car u get had some sort of accident where the owner did not go the insurance route to get the car repaired.

I have already done like 50 carfaxs via this thread. Anyone else? My account expires June 7th. PM your vin# and email if a report is needed, why? cause I'm NICE like that

I had two 03 gs430 to choose from and did a carfax report on the cheaper one and it came back as a flooded car so i went with the more expensive certified one..thanks to carfax.
