Ok, so after talking about it so long...I finally made the switch today. Luckily I have an E85 filling station about 3-4miles from my house.
This stuff is great, I don't know where to start:
My garage no longer stinks of gasoline, I can sit in traffic now without smelling like crap, the car idles and runs SO much smoother, oh yeah the fact that it's basically a 105-106octane race fuel that costs less than regular
From the butt dyno...I'd wager I gained about 30-40hp at the same boost level without even touching the timing. Reason being is that ethanol can pack in more energy for the same amount of air. I can stand behind my car and I can't smell any fumes at all! This stuff is awesome

Oh yeah, I also encountered a Lamborghini Gallardo on the highway tonight. I bet he was wondering why no gas fumes/smell when I was keeping ahead of him
And yes this can be done on NA cars. But I'm not sure how it would be done with the factory Lexus ECU. If you ran a standalone, it would be a piece of cake

Good stuff a buddy of mine just tuned his Supra TT using E85 and did 652rwhp@21psi with 77% duty cycle. This was on a GT4274, AEM,1000cc,etc..... I was amazed I could barely smell the E85 lol during the dyno. I plan on running E85 also when I go single. You have to run 30% more fuel if I remember correct. I'm not sure how a NA would react to E85 with the stock ECU like you mentioned.

E85 does have higher octane rating and cost way less than race fuel but I believe it will burn faster because like Cherp said you have to use more fuel. Also, did you switch all your rubber fuel lines? I read a while back (in my turbo mustang days) an article titled something like "1000hp with E85?" in a Mustang Mag. In the article it said you needed to swap every piece of rubber (all fuel lines, injector o-rings, etc.) that come in contact with fuel to silicone because something in E85 breaks down the rubber.

you basically have to have a over powered fuel set up.. what i mean is if your turbo lets just say you need 1 walbro 255 to support 400 whp, now with e85 you would need 2 walbro 255s plus bigger injectors etc..because you need to add like 30% more fuel..its not hard if you have standalone, but if your on a factory ecu its a pita
