the dealer told me to use the medium grade, especially when gas is so much. It runs just fine on mid-grade. I'd say run what you can get away with and what doesn't cause issues in your car. some cars may be pickier than others.
I HAD to use 93 in my mustang because I ran so much timing. Even the middle grade caused knocking and sputtering.

I'd just say to try the medium in a small amount when your tank is low and see how it goes. Just like testing a cleaner or conditioner on the leather, do a little in a small spot and see how it goes. Like I said, mine runs just find with the medium, but I wouldn't grab some crap gas from anywhere I didn't trust, just to save a few cents. I personally only like Chevron.

If it's at a Lexus dealer, they should do the financing. Depending on your age and credit history it may or may not happen. I had a credit score of 746 and was denied by many big name and little name banks. This was through some mom and pop dealer, which I will never do business with again. I found my GS at a Lex dlr, and got approved through Lexus/Toyota Motor Corp. with a low apr %.
Have one of your parents buy the car with you as a cosigner.
Good luck!
