Default GS300 L-Tuned Clip...FINALLY!

Hey guys, I know myself and others have been searching high and low for a clip of the all-too-rare l-tuned exhaust on a gs300.

Here one is snagged it from LGWNorcal's competition video, thank you GarageBand

that's a 2JZ-GE with a drop in, deleted resonators and the L-Tuned mufflers.

Sadly, the audio clip is a very poor interpretation of what the L-tuned on a GS300 sounds like. I installed the L-tuned mufflers on Masboy's GS300 and it sounds deeper than my GS400 with Borlas. Not to mention in the sound clip, the GS was practically in a patio area so some frequencies will be amplified to an extent.

ah thank you! i just actually bought a pair of L-tuned mufflers and i forgot to add in my OP that i was looking for feedback on how it sounds.

Ive heard a few opinions, partiall muted 350z/G35, now you say this...not to mention i played this on Logitech speakers from my windows PC and recorded it in garage band on my macbook pro's internal mic...pretty well garbled but i was just excited i found one.

I almost fell off my chair watching the video seeing all these IS300's and then lo and behold here's a GS representing.

That's not a true sound of the L-tuned exhaust on a GS3?

It does sound kind of like the 350z/g35 at mid to higher RPM, but the low end was pretty deep. But despite my having a V8 under the hood, the Borla is not really aggressive at all. I'm going to try to see if Masboy can record his car.

The one in the video sounds kinda raspy. I guess you can attribute this change in sound due to the removal of the resonators. Plus most microphones are not great at picking up low frequencies.

There are people who said their GS3 sounded more raspier with the resonators deleted.

Bring the car outside, stand 5 away from it, and hold the microphone towards the roof. You'll catch better sound that way.
