Yes in a way you are right they are not as bright as they appear to be in the pics they look like HIDs in the pics but they are not that bright. But as far as aftermarket halos are concerned they are pretty bright. They do give off some good light though. I know some aftermaket halos have gotten a bad rap for not being very bright but these give off some good light.I'm not trying to deceive anyone for sure.
