Default Opinion on painting Calipers

Hey guys...i was looking into getting new calipers for my car, but unfortunately, i can't afford it right now. I was wondering, do you guys think it looks ghetto if i were to just paint my stock calipers? Has anyone done it? And any one in the SGV, you guys know a place that can do it? Thanks again!

I just bought Lexus decals in white for 7.99 shipped for each caliper. Then to Autozone for some red, silver, and clear-coat Duplicolor high-temp spray. Gonna do my calipers red with white decals, and paint the rotor hubs silver to get rid of the rust discoloration too.

Will post pics this weekend probably.

Post a thread in the Socal regionals or in the 2GS suspension section. This is a relatively straightforward DIY. All you need is a heavy duty jack and jack stands. You can use high temp paint or spray paint.

Yo Jason, we should get a DIY caliper painting mini-meet and just tackle this mod man. I'll bring the brew!!!!!!

It won't look ghetto, as long as you don't paint them bright green or purple

Maybe find a friend with at least a driveway to do it. The garage would be best since it would keep minimize the wind. It's very easy to do. Good luck!

Any local bodyshop should be able to do it ... My local shop said they'd charge me $125 to paint the calipers and "hats" black and place my white Lexus decals under the clear coat ...
