I've got some damage to my fender and needed to paint it. I have Millennium Silver Metallic (1C0) paint and one estimate I was provided charged me more because they said the paint required a 3 step/phase process. I was told that ALL LEXUS CARS, except black, have PEARL in it and require this 3 phase paint process to accurately match the rest of the car?

Can anyone validate this?

I had my front end painted and my guy told me it wasnt a 3 phase paint. I also have 1c0 mil sil.

stock pearl paint is a 2-phase process.
