2001 GS430 won't start - issue with key / security?
Jumped in my car (2001 GS430, 77k miles) to go to work this morning and it cranked and cranked and never turned over. WTF. Battery sounds plenty strong, starter is turning the engine, plenty of fuel, no problems that I can tell. Drove almost 500 miles this weekend with no issues, drove home from work last night as usual, no problems. Just won't start this morning.
Checked all the fuses, nothing blown. Disconnected the battery cable for 10 or so minutes, no change.
Then I noticed that my security light on the dash does not go off when I insert my key. I have 2 known working master keys and one of the credit card keys - all of them have the same problem. I tried my wife's RX300 and her security light stops flashing once her key is inserted.
Right now I'm in the process of leaving the battery disconnected for an hour, hopeful that'll clear things up. Anybody have any other ideas should this not work? Considering contacting the dealer but I know they're going to tell me to bring it in. I'm leaving for Florida for 9 days tomorrow, so that's not going to work until I get back...
This is the first issue I've ever had with the car in the 3.5 years I've owned it, so this is very frustrating.
=======
UPDATE 06/17: Car started tonight - see below for details.
=======
UPDATE 06/18: Car is not starting again, security does not seem to be disabling when I put the key in again as it was doing yesterday. Argh. Guess I can't drive my own car to the airport. Off to Florida.
=======
UPDATE 06/27: @#$% Back from Florida. Car still refuses to start. Security light continues to flash when key is inserted. Does anyone know of anything security-related that I could get to and wiggle some wires, etc? Is it possible to disable the security altogether with a fuse or disconnecting a wire or anything? (I'm guessing not likely)

BTW, tested the battery with a Fluke multimeter - sitting at around 12.8 volts, same as my wife's RX. Both batteries are approx. 2 years old. The battery and starter both seem fine on the car.

Holy hell, update...
Got home from work tonight, security light flashing as usual. Put the key in and the light went off as it should and the car started perfectly normally. WTF!?!? I believe the key makes a connection wirelessly, so something must have been jamming that frequency.... ?? That's the only thing I can think of...nothing was touched since I left this morning.
