Is it safe to go up to 4500 rpms?

PLease dont ask why I am asking this, But is it safe to go up to 4500 rpm? Will it hurt the engine or the tranny?

yes, you're safe. just don't leave it there for extended periods of time. you'll be going too fast and waste a lot of gas.

Yeah, there's no problem with going to 4500rpm, assuming the engine is in proper working order AND its warmed up to normal operating temperature. Of course, driving like this on a very regular basis (every stop light) will increase wear on the transmission.
