TTE lip gap
Hi everyone, I just got a TTE lip installed today. My mechanic installed two extra screws plus the originals to secure the lip even more to the bumper. I noticed two gaps being on both the right middle side and the left middle side. My question is whether if this is normal? Anyone else experiencing the same thing? Thanks so much.

So if that's the case, should I remove the lip and reinstall it with the glue or it's fine if I leave it? The problem is that my mechanic doesn't seem to want me to use the stuff on it and he also held on to the glue I didn't get it back...it's a little not nice in a way to ask for it back on such a tiny thing...you guys know what I'm saying...
BTW, how do I upload images here??

Also, how come you let your mechanic install it??? I would rather have someone that did body work/aero parts/painting install it, rather than a mechanic that probably just changes oil 8 hours a day.
The mechanice probably stole the glue so he can in the backroom and sniff it and get high.
Theres a gap, what did he say about the gap?

You've posted what I think the primary issue is twice now...
Ditch the 'mechanic' and take your car to a bodyshop. Your guy if he doesn't know about automotive adhesives has a lack of knowledge about this type of stuff. My bodyshop guy did not use the stuff that came with the TTE lip, but some other type of adhesive that is much stronger and durable.
You may also want to search for 'molded TTE lip' to see what they look like.
There is a nice FAQ sticky in the photoshop forum with links on how to post pictures. Sorry my connection is slow tonight or I'd have linked you to these things...

My body shop used their own adhesive which was stronger than the one the lip comes with.
