Default looking at buying a GS300

Hi,

I'm looking at purchasing a GS300 soon. Im looking into 2000-2002 models with about 80K - 100K miles range so i can get the pricing i want. this is going to be a third car, but going to be a daily driver.

I've read a good amount of the DIY section and wanting to know what to look out for when buying? timing chain, ball joints, known issues that i can know i will be looking on this forum to following how to's and such to repair.

I dont want one with OEM nav, because i plan on installing a AVIC-D3 i have already.

I'm very mechanically inclinded and the mods will definately come as soon as i purchase her...

background, I just paid off my Nissan 350Z that i AutoX - BSP class and also enter drift events with. I own 18 wheels for that car and have coilovers, intake, r-compounds for autoX, tie rods, camber pieces, in-car camera mount, trailer to haul the Z to events, etc. I plan on only tracking the Z and daily driving the GS300 everywhere.

im in the process of buying my own tire machine right now too....drifting is fun!
