Your right, looks are all subjective. Its your car and if comfort and hassle free trips are your priority, esp. in NYC, then this was a great choice. Can't go wrong with stock 16's. Peace of mind is priceless.
As for me, and others, I would have opted, like Dash said, with at LEAST 17 or 18 OEM wheels. G35/06+GS/etc. They're only wheels you can swap them whenever u want.

Damn, the car is impossible to drive agressively in rainy weather at all. The other day I was doing about 30mph and it was raining, and I was in the left lane, and needed to get into the right lane. There was another car in the right lane, I decided to pass it, floored it, the car downshifter and instead of passing the car all I got is a bunch wheelspin and blinking VSC lights. The car didnt accelerate at all. Nice, all season tires FTMFL!!!
