Default low GS owner: how do you work on cars??

my cars not as low as most of you guys but its lowered. Everytime I change my oil or work on the underneath of my car, I have to scrape my way up the ramp a bit.

I don't have a lip, no body kit, just lowered on coilovers with 18". ...and the bad part is I want to go lower and get a lip.

So, you guys that are really low, how do you work on your car (air rides cheating ) ? Do you guys use those super low jacks? if so, what brand do you recommend? All of my friends with the Craftsman are breaking. Or do you guys use those ramps for low cars?

My GS is not lowered but I have spent some time working on low cars. I drive the cars up on a couple of 2x6 boards (2 per tire) staggered by about 8 inches. Then you can get a regular jack and stands under it. I'll try to find a pic to show what i am talking about.

EDIT - Added pic

Fortunately for my brother, he works at an autobody shop and they have all different kinds of jacks and lifts.

Drive up on some wood. Phonebooks work. Old brake rotors too.

Oh and scissor jacks are your best friend.

yeah, i probably should stop being lazy and get 2x4s...but how do you get them on the ramp after that? I just don't like jacking my car up compared to using a ramp :P

i couldn't fit a scissor jack under my car...
edit: actually, now that I think about it, I raised it a bit for the snow last winter so maybe I can now...

I jack my car up first on the stock jack and then use my Michelin Jack to put it where I want.

I will more than likely buy a jack designed for lowered cars soon. Summit racing has one for around $200 bucks or so. The jack portion is lower than a regular jack so you can just slide it under the car.

For now I put a few blocks of wood under the car, drive over it. Then I get a small jack to lift the car up a few inches by the front tow hook. After that, I slide my "low profile" jack under the car to lift it at the front crossmember. It's low pro, but still won't fit under my car without the other extra steps.

This is the jack I really want...the super duper low pro jack . I'm going to buy one soon when I get enough money. I keep spending money into the car so I don't have money left over to buy cool tools lol.

I'm mildly lowerd on Tein CS V.2 with TTE lip and Tanabe Touring Medallion Exhaust. I have no problems jacking up the car with the stock jack to change oil or what not. I think i'ma invest in some ramps. Pepboys has a special on ramps and tire chokes right now i believe.

2x4's then starts the slow process of lifting the car with the jack.... the things we do for lowered cars.

I use a craftsmen low profile jack and then jack stands. I ve uesd it on evey car I had sometime you need someone to lift up on the side of the car alittle to get the jack under it but always works good for me.
