Default 275 fat, 19x9.5 +35mm rear, will it rub?

I plan to drop it about 1". I don't want to cut or roll the rear (this is the wifes car). I have been searching offsets on here for days. Some people say it rubs, others seem to run it without rubbing. Some pics it looks like like it will clear others look like the edge stick out. I don't want to look down from the top of the fender and see a wheel or tire stick out past the fender. Am I better off going over 35mm to say 40-45mm. I haven't seen many of that offset to know what it will look like. I have 35mm offset wheels on the way but can return them if I don't mount them and get a 35 f/ 48 mm rear 19x8.5/19x9.5. Anyone have first hand with a 35mm fat 275 that is at stock or about stock height?

My old car with 19x10 +45 in the back with 275 rubber. I could tuck it with no fender mods. Your 9.5 +35 will stick out 4 more mm. It will be close and might come down to tire brand. But with only a 1 inch drop i don't think you will have any issues. The +48 would stick in even more (sunken battle ship look). I would stay with what you have and make it work. Hope that helps.

I Don't think you will have any problems, but you will be cutting it close. I say get them and if you have any rubbing, which I dount, use the camber adjustments and go negative to clear.

Thanks, it helps. This offset thing is a pita when I can't look at a car in person with something even similar. I can handle 4mm. If I have to I can easily take off 5-6mm from the inner fender before hitting the screws and leave the rubber trim on.

I already have the tires, just waiting for the wheels. As for camber, at stock height I have 1.1* LR and 1.25 neg camber on the right. I don't want to add to it.

I'll post pics when I get them on.

I think you are yanking me or you just read the title only.

Why not 235's, tucked? Because I hate the stretched street tire look, even in the late 80's/early 90's when people started doing it on mini trucks. I hate it even more on cars. Tucked, I feel about the same as stretched. It's on par with 14" wire wheels on Impala's. It's just my opinion though. I have cars that are pretty low and stiff but they are sports cars not a luxury car. Plus I already have the tires.

If it too close for comfort, here is what you can do. You can have the rear fenders shaved just a few mm. That should definitely give you the clearance you need. If you shave up to the mounting holes, it will give you the option of putting on the black fender liner later on if you switch back to stock wheels. I did this and I used to have 10" +37et in the rear which is equivalent to 9.5" +30 et with Falken FK-452 275/30/20 and it cleared just fine with minimal camber.
