i know what you mean with the simple mods, but that is exactly where your problem lies.. i am trying to go with the simple mods this time around with my current car the gs, and simple mods will only take you so far... the wow factor comes from going above and beyond the simple mods... so you need to ask yourself in what direction do you want to step it at at... performance, body work, drop/ tucked cambered deep dish wheels, a/v, vip, etc.....

 

my .02 and why ......

• remove front eyelids - looks like you wanted to do the cheapest mod to update the look
• remove front fender/turn indicators - looks like you had some extra coin in your pocket and wanted to put ANYTHING on the car. They'reredundant since you have the much more expensive signal mirror mod.
• is the sharkfin functional or just for looks ? if not, I'd remove it - it's very BMW wannabe
• rear eyelids - cheap looking and BMW wannabe shape
• remove stock spoiler - you spent so much everywhere else and not here. Nothing screams "I'm not a stock GS" louder than an aftermarket spoiler

Your car looks tight with the blue chrome look ... i'd run with that
• chrome door handles
• chrome trunk bar

Other additions/changes
• JP or RMM rear spoiler
• darker tint
• LED puddle lights
• oval tips (everyone does big round cans)

I agree with the others, some of the details like the headlight covers,
painted taillights are a bit busy.

I like the hood.

One thing I always hated on the 2GS was the factory spoiler.
Eliminating this or going to a Junction Produce-type spoiler would
really clean-up the look.

Also, next time you get tires you could go to a shorter tire
(like 245/30-20 & 285/25-20) and drop the car a bit more
for a "hunkered down" look. I love the silver centered wheels,
wouldn't change that unless you decide to go for less of
a sporty look.

 

well i removed the rear lids last night, i like it. i looked into wheels and 3 piece rear spoiler which i will get that going.
regarding the big round cans, i have a 3" pipes from the headers back with greddy muff's so i dont know how mch i can do with tha. Led's are there an i will look into chrome door handles and trunk bar. I have to take my car to the State inspection for missing emmision sticker so i think they might check for car height so i wont drop it till i get that taken care off. what do they check for when you go to one of those inspections? anybody know?

i might get these wheels ented on the zone 8, drop it remove eye lids , tint it darker and then wow factor i hope

 

it reminds me of a bmw but looks nice, especially with those wheels in the pic...

but you should get some new shoes.. take off the spoiler or get a different one completely.. and take that blue off the rear lights

It looks good already. Id say the trunk spoiler change it to a lip spoiler. and uncover the tail lights

 

Actually I think if you wanna make it WOW, put one or two white stripes on the car. kinda like a viper or a mustang gt500.

 

Darker TINT!!! That is a must.

I also agree on removing the front and rear eyelids.

Do you do your own work yourself? From a previous post sounds like you do.

o/w must've been hella expensive to do all that at a shop.

 

I have never heard of this, but I am willing to bet it's a law here in Cali
