before replacing cat and o2 sensor you have to find out what is causing it to go bad or else
you will keep on replacing them.this is something alot of people dont know when they take their car out to the shop.have a good tech look at it, a smog tech would know more about this then regular tech.

I don't think anyone should be allowing their chirren to watch a production called "The Loin King." The Lion King maybe, but that other one sounds like something you'd find in the "special interest" section at a video store.

Well I should have done more research here on the board before taking the car to the dealership and paying $110 for diagnostics alone.
The service manager said that the Y-pipe is cracked and needs to be replaced along with the O2 sensor, cost? $2200. Now these idiots think that almost everyone that owns a lexus sells crack for a living.
After doing some research I saw how an exhaust leak throws the CEL light and that is what I have going on with my car.
When I brought this info to the service manager he first denied knowing anything about it and then when he checked with the tech agreed that if you can fix the exhaust leak the CEL should be taken care of without replacing the O2 sensor. He stated that instead of fixing the leak, since they dont have welding capabilities at the shop, they usually suggest replacing the part.
Long story short, the car is going into an exhaust shop today to have the leak fixed and hopefully resolve the CEL problem once and for all.

Going to Lexus Stealership is a waste of time i had the same problem they gave me a $6,500 quote on like half my motor, plus $125 just to check it, lazy mechanics, auto zones comps wont read to the point on a lexus , it could be a bunch of stuff that the comp tells you but really it might just be one simple thing I went through hell for almost a year and half trying to get my car running right , i dropped it off for a tune-up, wasnt the same since then , just make sure you let the right people touch you car, My case was bad wiring for the coils , check it out could be your problem too, good luck!
