Hey Brethren!,
In the Lexus Gallery under the GS section, there are three pictures of a right hand drive White Aristo with a clean looking kit. I believe the names of the post are under 0101101(2)&(5). Who posted the pictures? Who makes the kit? Fiberglass/FRP? I like.

Hello V300,
The quest-power bodykit was posted by me.
Try this link and hit original parts:
http://www.quest-power.com
The kit has been out since January 2001 and the prices are listed in Yen. I believe the kit is made of fiberglass.

Anyone considering a body kit should be aware of the fact that you may have trouble crossing speed bumps. If you occasionally cross them, no problem. If you have them in your office or school parking lot and you have to cross them daily, watch out. Also, your OEM jack may not work with your kit also. This could be a problem when you get a flat tire. And lets not mention the scenario where a service jockey is moving your car and pulls up too close to the curb and scratches your front bumper. I have experienced all of these things and just thought that I would caution everyone else. I wish someone had cautioned me..

Thanks for the input guys. Thanks Bishop for adding an additional concept that wasn't listed in the HyperRev. I really like the lines and general countour. Too bad the kit is fiberglass.

V300,
No prob.
I was also considering the Quest-Power and the Explosion kit. Not too extreme.
Pity that they're made of fiberglass.
Now I am considering the L-sportline front bumper with the Veilside side skirts and rear bumper replacement.
What do ya think?
Decisions decisions..
Remember to post some pix when your cars done. Should look hot!

I just acquired the Rod Millen Kit and I am having the body shop use a lot of epoxy and fillers to reshape the front to look like the Explosion kit by Evolution.

Yes. After the RX-7 gets its 3RD BOOK and R32 GT-R getting a stand-alone book, it's about time for the Aristo to get a new and refreshed issue, considering that book is almost 2 years old. (But hey, with all those Altezzas running around, the focus has shifted. With new EVO 7, situations will be worse.)

GlobeCLK,
I agree. I've been waiting for a new edition for the Aristo, but it looks like the Altezza is getting all the attention now.
I believe Abflug has got some new parts out.
Here's a link: http://www.ab-flug.co.jp
Keep us informed if you hear anything. You seem to get the info on what's happening in Japan quicker than anyone else.
Unrelated to Lexus: Did you hear anything about the new R35 GT-R being a V8?

yea, i don't really like all those black covers, like the mirror cover, the skirt, the spoiler lip, stuff like that. I do really like the intake entrence thing, the shiny peice that takes in air from the grill, anyone know how much that is? i would go great with an HFI. What about those coil-overs, how low do they go?

Anyone interested in a black on black R33 GT-R? It has less than 300 miles. New Car smell. Right-hand drive. Car has passed CA smog and has gone through MotorEx's documentation process. 55K serious buyers only.
BTW, If you want details of the car goto www.skylinegtr.com It is the trim-line you would get from buying a R33 from Japan.
babygs3,
Nice choice on the kit. Don't forget the wing though. However, it is going to be a b_tch whenever you would have to jack up the car on a service rack since the kit is low to ground. With the urethane, you have the sense of security that the material will "fold" (given your paintjob is decent).
GlobeCLK,
About the HyperRev... yeah it IS long and overdue. Tuners are starting to understand (a bit maybe) about the characteristics of the V300's programing. The "perfected" programing I've seen sofar are:
1) disabling the speed limitor... yeah HKS SLD does the same on the V300.
2) raising the boost of the stock setup to 1.3 bar. Not bad with the stock ceramics CT20A's.
3) correcting air-fuel with the new settings (to work w/ stock engine management.
4) car still feels "factory."
With the current reprogram/diagnostics management more and more V300 owners have undergone single turbo upgrades like the T04's and T-78 (havent seen a T51R or T-88 on a V300 yet). I would really love to see the Japanese Tuner's progress in the demo car section of HyperRev... kinda hate waiting for the tuner videos (same Aristo things).
