Default Shakes while Idle?

I have just realized that my car shakes and idles to 500rpms when driving for an hour when in park position. My mechanic said that because of my A/C. I drove awhile while the A/C was off and it still shakes. I asked my mechanic should I spray Catylict cleaner to the value after the air filter, he said it may damage the O2 sensor. I never have this problem in my Acura TL. Does anyone have this issue? Should I get somebody to clean my fuel injector(has anybody clean fuel injector before?)?

Spec.
2001 gs430 65000 miles.
Recent Transmission oil change.
Air filter looks oked.
Cabin air filter changed
Motel oil still has 1000 miles
Antifreezer looks new

there is a free way that most often than not fixes the problem, and if it doesn't than hey at least it was free...

do this... unhook the negative battery terminal and let the car sit for 30 mins. be sure to write down your 1-6 preset radio stations on a piece of paper, and leave your seat exactly where you want it at, because you will loose your radio station presets and seat memory... that is all...

after 30 mins put the negative (black one) back on the battery and tighten the bolt.. really really easy, even for my mother which i walked her through it while on the phone once. this should fix the problem and make your car perform better in the process... don't question it just do it...

Could be a slight miss caused by one of the following:

• bad spark plug
• bad spark plug wire
• loose spark plug wire connection
• bad ignition coil
• faulty injector (i.e. stuck open)

I just changed my battery about 2 weeks ago, took me 15 minutes. It didnt reset my radio and navigation memories. I will do more than half an hour when I wash my car this weekend.

I dont have a long 5/8" spark plug tools, will ask around to take out my spark plugs.

I just realized my car drop to 400 rpms, below the middle line sometimes, not 500 rpms. It goes down when I idle, or stop and traffic...

i had this same problem and it was fixed by resetting the ecu (leaving battery unplugged for 30+ mins)...

maybe bad fuel. try a tank of fuel from a different toptier station(premium of course), and pour in a bottle of your favorite fuel injector cleaner additive too.

try replacing your engine mounts and i'd do the tranny mount too while your at it, its a cheap mount and you can do it yourself easily.. this cured my idling vibration 100%

When I got the car, it was shaking when ideling when I sat at Mcdonals. I tried different brands of gasoline all 93... Probably I will reset the batteries first, then check for coil/spark plug then put in fuel injector cleaner.

be careful with fuel injector cleaners. If it's dirty enough you will need to replace your fuel filter.

its really sounds like its your engine mounts.. people are verysurprised how much vibration it cures... bothengine mounts with install is a lil hefty i forgot how much i paid but i knew a mechanic anyways.. i'd go ahed and do that.. ur car is going on 8 years old.. rubber ages on time for the most part... wear also will speed that up .. i replaced mine 2 yrs ago (my car was 8 yrs old) and at 85k

I have a similar problem if I turn off my A/C while in drive(D) the car vibrates a little bit and the RPM is below 500. But if I put in Park(P) the RPM is at mid level. I guess I just have to turn on my A/C at all time?

try the ecu/ battery reset thing first cuz its free and quik by that i mean my can do it free and quik... then move on to other harder more expensive things...

when the seasons start to change and you are switching between the ac on and off rather often my car seems to do a little vibrating and low idling but after resetting it and keeping it off, not turning it on and off throughout the day the problem is gone. not sure about others but this is what cured mine...

similar symptoms: different problems: different solutions:
