Default P1346, timing belt issue

I just replaced my timing belt and the check engine light came on. I found out that the issue was P1346, timing belt is one or two tooth off. Can someone please post a picture of a marked belt so I can realign my timing belt? Thanks.

If you know its one or two teeth off your gonna have to take everything back apart and realign it to where there is no teeth off. There should be marks showing where it should line up with.

02 GS300, I looked at the belt before I put it on but I didn't see any mark to line it up. Thanks for your help.

I just had this happen to me yesterday... I should have followed the darn procedure and this would not have happened... Instead, I locked the cam gears together and did not turn the crank once the bet was off.. Obviously not the best way to do it...

Anyone have any luck retiming the cam/crank gears without doing the entire job over?

Easy to reset top covers off set to 60% timing mark install allen key to tensioner before you remove once tensioner is out reset cambelt

Reinstall tensioner then remove allen key crank engine by hand 2 complete revolutions recheck timing marks

Works shop manuel - Repair Manual / ENGINE MECHANICAL / TIMING BELT / INSTALLATION

This is what you need to know to set VVTI Inlet pulley for 2JZ VVTI

Match it up to crankshaft accordingly.
Remove timing belt, and turn the VVTi intake Cam gear as far clockwise as you can (you may want to turb it back and forth to loosen anything stuck - if it is stuck) Finish by turning it all the way clockwise without disturbing the camshaft. when the VVTi cam gear hits the stop point... make note of the timing mark. if its off. keep the VVTi cm gear turned all the way clockwise and now you have to rotate the camshaft counter clockwise to get the line up notches on the cam gear to match the cam cover.

Thanks.. got it fixed yesterday morning. I was off one tooth.

I had to remove the crank pulley to get the lower plastic piece off. this is the only way to get to the timing belt tensioner piston..

Note to self - Next time I do something, I am going to make sure I follow the instructions..

FYI Tensioner is easy to remove undo two 12mm bolts with long extension from underneath no need to remove crank pulley
