Default Rim Opinions

Ive been looking for some rims and came across these. What do you guys think of these rims and which set would you pick up?

Stern ST5
18 x 8.5

or

RPM 505
18 X 8.0 ET38 MM FRONT
18 X 9.0 ET38 MM REAR

Please keep in mind that I dont have the money to buy wheels that are $2K+ so as long as they look good on my GS then I am happy and I think these would look great. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

IMO, the rpm's look better, and will have a better effect because they are staggered.

out of curiosity, how much are you paying plus tires?

well i found both for under 900 not including tires. which brings me to my next question.

what size should i get? I live in houston so the roads are bad. i am a careful driver but even then things can happen unexpectedly. Im looking for something that will look great but will still "protect" my rims. whats between lowprofile and im guessing its called "high profile?"

neither.
it's gonna look really small with deep lip wheels. i'd get 3GS wheels for that price. someone was selling a set of Gspyders with P-zeros for like 1k IIRC.

If you're going to go chrome like in those pics, I'd go with the first ones. Chrome mesh just seems busy to me when it gleams. If you're going brushed, then I'd go with the mesh.
