Default My Story 1999 GS300, plenty of pics, 56k need not visit

The Gs had always been my dream car since i got my license and when i was 16, turning 17, i found one on autotrader and was lucky enough to have my father purchase it for me in January of 2006 for 10,000 which i thought to be a good deal (and still do).

And then my humble modding began... Being 17 to my current age of 19 years old, I was/am on a serious budget, and daddy wasnt going to pay for my bull**** lol. So my 8 dollars an hour would have to do.

My GS isnt as nice as 80% of yours but thats what i get on a budget, and i think i've done a nice job, considering what i have to work with. I also apologize for my incompetence with a camera lol, but here it is....

Shortly after buying it and throwing some tints on, next to my 93 FJ80 which it replaced in January of 06

My first set of wheels 19" HP's in april of 06, riding way too high lol

being 17, i had to throw some 9" tv's in which are not any of you guys' style and not really mine either, but hey 250 shipped and installed wasnt bad

Got a sportdesign shiftknob and you can also see my jvc headunit, apologize for the tacky *** steering wheel cover, but my leather is peeling pretty bad and i've had the hardest time trying to find a replacement wheel.. pm me if you have one :-D

My second set of wheels after i sold my HP's, 20" AZA still riding too high in the summer of 07... also with a replaced driver's side headlight replacing my single fogged up one

and finally how it's been looking since fall of 07, finally dropped on eibach suspension, 01-05 grille, cleared side markers, smoked LED tails also added, and my latest sound system with 2 JL 3's and rockford punch p500-2 amp... since i dont have 1000 to spend on suspension, and quite frankly, i'm happy with the ride height and ride quality of the eibach. i don't really like the slammed look, more going for the stock look, just without that massive gap...

I still have much more to come...
Future mods i'm thinking of...
HID's, black roof, the ever-evasive TTE lip, replacing those ugly *** center caps, exhaust, 7" headunit, and eventually replacing my current wheels... apologize to all you performance guys, but i'm a cruise control type of guy lol, so no engine work for me...

and i am of course looking for all of your suggestions

She's lookin great . You may just be starting and you may not have much to spend on the GS, but the mods so far have been done very well. Congrats!

very good work.

As for the mods:

* HID lights... i MAY know "SOMEONE" who has a hook up for them.
* TTE lip will REALLY make it look nice. i know everyone has one (including myself) but it still looks a lot better than stock so i don't really care that they're popular here on the board.
* black roof - sounds like a good idea. maybe a roof spoiler too?

i kinda like your HP wheels more than your current ones but only because i like the mesh look.

the suspension you have is nice. i used to have it as well but i now have the tein CS setup (which is good for us cruise control kinda drivers) because it really retains the stock ride while giving you a lowered look.

and finally- nice FJ.

Looks great!!!! I wish someone would start a TTE lip group buy since everyone on the board without one wants one
