Default Need help Please! Car misfiring BAD

99 GS300,

I was changing the spark plugs for my buddy yesterday, and he decided to try and help. Well he moved the spark plug cables around after I had laid them out. So i'm assuming that they were installed in the wrong order.

Here is the what I'm trying to find out.

from front to back

plug #1 and #2
Plug #1 has what looks like a regular spark plug cable end on it
plug #2 has a box that uses a bolt to hold it in place.

plug #3 and #4
Plug #3 has what looks like a regular spark plug cable end on it
plug #4 has a box that uses a bolt to hold it in place.

plug #5 and #6
Plug #1 has what looks like a regular spark plug cable end on it
plug #2 has a box that uses a bolt to hold it in place.

what I need to find out is how the cables and boxes are plugged into each other, what order.
for example - does the cable from plug #1 go to box on plug #6
my buddy mix them up and not the car has bad hiccups and misfires BAD.

the way I plugged them in was cable from plug #1 to box plug #2, cable from plug#3 to box plug #4, cable from plug #5 to box plug #6

The plugs should be linked 1-6, 2-5, 3-4
1 is the cylinder closest to the front of the car, 6 is the last one.

Coil Packs on 2,4,6

Pack 6 goes to plug 1, Pack 4 goes to plug 3, Pack 2 goes to plug 5.

Off the top of my head I think that's the order. I'll check the factory manual if that doesn't fix it for you.
