Get the clear bra. Its somewhat expensive when professionally done, but its well worth it. If you even look up the wholesale prices for quality clear bra material, its almost a hundred bucks for just the front bumper portion.

I would call up AeroTect. They're in Socal and do quality work. When done right with the right material, it comes out pretty nice, albeit not as clean as no bra at all (obviously). AeroTect charges around 3 bills for just the front bumper. But in the end its worth it, cuz you dont have to worry or bother with chips or repainting later down the line, saving you cheese in the end.

Good question, I would imagine oxidation would be more pronounced on the lighter colors. Thats why quality material is key. When I remold my TTE lip and repaint my bumper, its getting clear bra'd right after.

It wasn't properly maintained then. OEM bras work fine. Maintain the wax underneath, don't let water collect, and don't keep it on all the time. Periodically clean the bra of grime and dirt and make sure it's fastened correctly at all times.

Here's a pic of my 02 that had the OEM bra on since day one. I took it off as a strap broke and have not replaced it yet. I think the paint looks pretty good. Wax is a must. The two white spots on the drivers side below the high beam is a reflection of my garage door opener lights.

Default missing button for my bra

Just scratched up front of car badly. Tried to put on the old pleather bra to hide it but the "button/screw" that my pleather bra attaches to inside the wheel well is missing. Anyone know where to order this "button"? Do autoparts or home improvement store have these?

The original bra type is not the best looking, but if your looking to save some money up front and down the road its your best bet for the moment. I remember seeing color coded or just colored bra back some time ago. If you go with a clear bra I'm sure that your looking at around 4-6 hundred upfront if not more depending on your paint condition. If you have some chips I don't think that you can have it put on.

Put your ego to the side and just slap on the bra, you can take it off on the weekends.

If there aren't that many chips you can still touch them up and pick up a clear bra.

Check out my signature for a list of clear bra installer and call around to get the best price and remember: Stay Classy San Diego.

I went bra-less and look what happened...

No, those aren't splattered bug guts all over my front bumper. I went into the RMV/DMV(whatever you wanna call it) to grab my motorcycle permit and when I come out 20 minutes later, my car looks like this. I don't even know what on Earth did that to my baby. Twas a sad, sad day.
