Have a look here, any thoughts?

It has the JZS-161 chassis, the original 2JZ-GTE TT engine, the 4 speed supra A/T tranny, japanese sat-nav, steering wheel shift buttons, the Toyota elbem on the airbag, and I believe the folding mirrors!
I need to find out if it still has the speed limiter (112mph)
only problem, its white.

for that price i would pick it up. that white looks really good with 20% tint on the windows. if it's stock at least you know it couldn't have been molested that badly. My thought is GET IT you don't get many chances at good cars like that.

this is a kick *** car in white is not a problem,,, but maybe i am biased since i drive a white one myself.
is $15,658 dollar or 10k euro the going rate for that model car with 100k miles on it??? the car looks nice but that seems a little pricey to me, but i am not sure about your area... i know in j-pan that exact car you could pick up for like 8k$ if you looked around..

Well,
Lets put it into perspective (thanks to Irelands crazy motor taxes), a new GS300 is Ireland is around €80,000.
Irish car prices are calculated: base car price +21% tax, then + 30% VRT (vehicle registration tax). Thats over 50% in just taxes!!!
2008 GS Price list
€80,000 = $ 125,000 yes its not a misprint $125,000!![EEK!](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/eek1.gif)
(I hope you are sitting down for this: A new LS600hL is €181,000 = $284,000)
so 10,000/80,000= 12% the price of a new one.
So for comparison in the US, a new GS is $46,000 and 12% of that is just $5,700

dude, you should buy that car and either hold on to it for a friend or just keep it for yourself then,,, thats a great deal since you put it into perspective for us... those new 450h's on that link are crazy expensive. how does the cost of living compare in that area though.. are we talking like london stylee where everyone makes 80k euro a year or what?? cuz in osaka where my wifes family lives its like $20k dollars a year just to park your car + taxes and road insurance and all... but in osaka everyone makes like $120k a year so it eases the pain somewhat..

also you don't need a car at all in most major city areas in japan so having a car especially a lexus (big car) is not just a normal luxury item its like an ultra luxury item over there. is ireland like this at all??

In Ireland, its a big county for 4 million people so the public transport is a joke escpecially if you live outside the capital city, Dublin. We are a car-dependent culture and taxed very heavily for the pleasure!
A GS3 annual road tax is €1300/yr! My insurance is only €500
Dublin in 2007 was rated the 16th most expensive place to live (about 30 mins from me) and Osaka is listed at 8th place (moscow is first)
