Default bad news.. valve cover cracked while changing gasket

bad news guys my valve cover cracked/chipped when i was replacing the gasket. the reason i am changing the gasket was that i saw like a small puddle of oil around my sparkplug when i removed the coil wires. but looking at the valve cover it looked like it was in bad shape, the middle where the crack black and it looks like oil has weakened it. now my question is will the is300 valve covers that i found on ebay will fit the gs. now i know that the is300 has the top engine cover and the 98 gs doesnt.

sorry for the poor quality. taken from a phone.

Theoretically they should fit since they share the same part number. You'll need to contact a dealer and see if the part number for the 98-00 GS matches the 01-05 IS300.

What price did you find the IS300 valve covers for? I have a full GS300 engine sitting in my garage and I'll sell you the valve covers and any other pieces off the engine if you want?? That way you'll know for sure they fit.

ok sweet, but will the post for the engine cover work on my car also. i was thinking about getting a engine cover. i found them on ebay for like 70 dollars. SlvrGS300> if you dont mind selling yours thats cool. but if you need something to cover the camshaft i dont mind shipping my chipped one to you. i just need the valve cover so i can at least drive the car.

It doesn't matter to me. I don't need yours if you don't wanna send em. I will probably never use this engine again. if you want em, PM me and let me know.

You can weld that back together. Supras frequently have that happen and I have seen numerous ones welded. Not a big deal.
