and was wondering if these could be used with a 99 GS400 pre wired with HID from the factory. In other words, could I bolt these on and still use the stock HID kit and it's auto leveler....or will I have to gut the whole lighting system and do all aftermarket HID (without the leveler). If so forget that.....

Is there any aftermarket projector headlights which support the factory HID kit and leveler?

The autoleveling needs the motor that is in the original headlights. Also those projectors are made for halogen lamps, which are not made, aimed or focused right for hid lights. I would have someone retrofit a set of projectors from an S2000 or RX into your existing headlights. This way you will get a great look and the light beam will be correct.

 

these ebay projectors are soo ugly.. i dont know y ppl put them on a lexus

 

The autolever also uses sensors throughout the vehicle. Use the search, it has been discussed before. Someone one wanted to do it and I believe gave up.

 

I wouldn't go with those eBay headlights, my friend has had problem with 2 pairs on his Civic. They have bad seals that leak and cheap wiring that causes shorts.

 

You know whats ridiculous? You CAN buy a set with HID projectors, but they come with preinstalled HID's... I kept asking the guy, "are the projectors for HID's or Halogen?" he kept beating around the bush... ha... I forgot the point I was getting at!! LoL
