Fogs w/ parking lights without relay?
I finally found the write-up for the foglights with parking lights but noticed that they're wired with a switch/relay. On my wrx all i had to do was run a wire from one fuse to another to another. Has anyone done this without the relay/switch? I just want them to come on with the parking/headlights, i don't need the switch.

It's possible, but it's like half-assing it. You don't need a switch, but it should have a relay at least. You would be increasing the load on your electrical system for something it was not designed for, although not uncommon.
I just wouldn't be jumping fuses.

You need to wire in a relay. If not, you will blow out the fuse or melt the wiring. The parking light is a 194 bulb that uses about 5w. The wiring harness was not made to sustain the 55-60w of a 9006 halogen bulb.
You can try it if you really want to. I garuantee the first thing that will happen is that the factory rated fuse that's in there will blow. Then you can change the fuse to a higher amperage one. The fogs will work for about a minute or two and then you will start to smell some burning plastic. Then soon afterwards the lights will stop working permanently until you repalce the wires in the harness

I don't know how foolish it is when its been done on subarus, mine for 3 years without problems. However i do think there was more to it besides the wire from one fuse to another. Oh well, i'll try the write-up.
