If you're going to get the 2GS...don't get the GS300 or GS400.

Get the 2001+ GS300 or GS430.

It has all the upgrades.
-Lime Green Tint headlights
-Nicer tail lights
-Mark Levinson stereo
-Nicer steering wheel, gauges, Navigation.

Way better Navigation!!

If it was me, I would find a 2002 Black on Black GS430 w/ Navigation.

2002 has the nicer 7spoke 17" rims.

Go spend some time on Ebaymotors & see the differences.

1998-2000 vs 2001+

You'll see a fat difference.

Well it just depends on what you can account within your means. I opted for purchasing a 2000 GS400 as I was able to pay cash for it. This means, not having a car note, I can use extra cash to mod it to spec and give it the desired looks similar to the newer models. But remember its all personal opinion, but they all rock in their own ways. Just personalize it to what you love and enjoy it.

welcome to cl..from my experience before i bought my gs430...i was also looking at the gs300 and gs400 why i choose the 430 is like what icantsee mentioned. but if your planning on boosting the 300 would be my choice. If you love v8 rumble like i do then gs400 or 430. I also wish the 430 had the m shifting like the 400 has and better throttle response like the 400..You really can't go wrong with any of them..but when i sat in my 430 black on black i knew it was my car.
Good Luck!

don't let gas milage affect your decision. its the same. you'd be better off wth the 400/430

Unless you go boost or are worried about cheaper insurance, no reason to get a 300 unless its a Sportdesign. The GS 4 is clearly faster and only has 1 MPG less than the 300.

I just turned 25, and my insurance on my 430 went down to like $1k a year with Geico. I think it was $1200 before when I was still 24.
