Default *VIDEO* 3000k Fogs W/ yellow tint lens ||NEW VID PAGE TWO||

I just installed a 3000k HID kit.

The fog light lens was originally clear and it didn't have the "Golden Yellow" color that I was looking for so I purchased this "Yellow Fog Light Film" found on ebay and it made a world of difference.

Click the below youtube pic to watch the video...

Looks good... I just want to see some light output shots from the drivers seat... I'm thinking about doing the 3000k conversion in the fall... But, I already have the factory yellow fogs...

Thanks, I'll take some more night shots from the drivers seat point of view later this week.

The stock beam pattern isn't the greatest, it seems like it focus's the majority of the light output to the sides of the car. I would have like to see a little more light output in the middle.

During the warmup phase an arc of light is created between two electrodes in a glass tube that heats up the metal salts and inert gases. These salts and gases create a different color at different teperatures during the 15-30 second warmup phase after you turn them on.

3000K starts out with a neon greenish/yellow color and then goes to a yellow with a tad bit of white(4300k) in it. There is no green in the 3000K hid's after they have warmed up.

I personally like the effects of this warmup phase which is why I decided to record the warmup phase. At the end of the 30 second youtube clip they are just about warmed up to the golden yellow color.

If I went with 4300K and the yellow lens I would not have got as deep of a yellow color. It would look more like a bright light yellow rather then a deep yellow.

Personally I like the deep yellow, what do you guys like?

I'll take more pics to explain what i'm talking about tonight.
