This is a great offer! By your own words you say you don't know much about taking care of cars. If you don't go, your passing up a chance not only for a free detail, but to learn a lot from someone who has been doing this for awhile. He has over 2000 posts! Having a Lexus is all about driving. Welcome to CL.
In the time being, you may want to tape off the surrounding paint and sand the rust down. then maybe you can apply a primer or an application to prevent further rust or the spread the present rust.
Talk to body shops, ask around, get quotes.
