50K Mile Service?
Hey guys I bought my 04 GS300 with about 44,300 miles. Now it has about 49,000. I called the dealer at around 48,500 to get the first complimentary oil change. He said to wait and bring it in for the 50k mile service. I travel A LOT with this car and put almost 5000 miles in less than 4 months.
Ive read about the 30k, 60k, and 90k maintenance, but not the 50k Should I get the complimentary oil change anyway or wait for reach 50k? I did a search and did not see anything mentioned. I see guys changing it at 3k, and some at 5k, nothing regarding a 50k mile service.
Thanks.

The guy i bought my car (99gs4) from was taking it in every 5k miles per direction from the stealership. it had just had the 45k done the day prior to me picking it up from him. they charged him damn near 500$ for not a lot of actual stuff if you ask me. i still have the sheet (haven't seen it in 3 years) but as i recall it said checked/ passed for a whole bunch of stuff but the only thing done was the oil change, filter replacement (air, oil), tire balance + rotation, and they claim they adjusted the alignment. here is a link to what they actually do do.... (lots of pun intended)

i work at a dealership, and somtimes its cheaper to get everything seperate. Meaning, request to get an oil change, tire roation, trans service instead of requesting a 50k service. If you price it all out, it might come out cheaper.
Oh and trust me, when they rotate your tires, and they see that you need brakes, they will let the advisor know. The tech's are on comission, so the more problems they find with your car, the more money in their pockets!
