What brand and octane do you use with your GS?
Many people say that all the gas companies pretty much produce the same type of gas. Here in new york, the highest octane we get is 93 octane. After watching this video and although British, the guy pretty much brings out a good point. Different companies use different formulas for their premium level petrol.

So I was just wondering what people preferred for their GS. I rated gas by the gas mileage usually, trying to get the most out of the buck. But driving conditions in Brooklyn always vary and there are just too many cars in a really cramped up city.
Anyway, I prefer Exxon Mobil and BP over everything else and I always use 93 octane. I always tend to get 30 more miles out of my tank compared to Sunoco, Shell, Getty and others.
What do you people use and what brand unleashes the most horses?

Heck I run whatever is cheap lol. The Walmart gas station next to my house is pretty much the cheapest place in the city to get gas. There's always a waiting line there when people get off work from 4-6pm.
No problems with the fuel so far. I hit high boost on cheap 93 octane...can not beat

What is really sad around here in TN, is that most of the "premium" fuel is now 91! You really have to be smart and shop around as there are alot of places screwing people that get prem.

always premium.... but i would like to point out that our premium 91-93 was considered low in j-pan... a lot of japanese wouldn't even buy a car from an american who primarily gassed up on the u.s. military bases because that meant that they had been putting in cheap gas i.e. anything less than the 100+ octane that sells in 99% of the gas stands in their country.
hmmm... makes me wonder why we sell such cheap quality gas...???

Completely true, sad but true.. Why do you think all of our money says "In God We Trust" what they mean to say is that "Really Our Money Comes First"
We are a car and gun culture... How many people do you think own both?? Compared to other countries?? But at least I have the ability to write whatever I please without the fear of prosecution..
Oh and Shell is pretty good stuff, 'V power', but Sam's Club is cheaper lately, about $3.85 for premium.

only sunoco has 96 octane gas but other gas stations have 94 octane the highest you can get. so each time i want to fill up i have to look for sunoco which is a pain in the *** since they're aren't that many.

eyecon7 with all respect,,, your an idiot and you do not know what you are talking about... thats why they call it science...
an octane rating is an octane rating for a reason. unless the gas station is "lying" but not putting gas of the octane rating they claim in their pumps it is all good. don't listen to what the news and media are spouting about not needing high octane and what not... depending on your vehicles compression ratio you may or may not require premium (high test-- octane). if you vehicle does not require it than it is a waste to put it in... our vehicles (the v8 at least) requires the higher combustion by the higher octane fuel so go ahead and put lower in it if you so please and check back with us later... i'm not saying that putting in 108 race fuel is the way to go but if you require a higher combustion like a built up race motor would then you will see better performance by using the higher octane.
i'm sure it could be said much more scientific like or even more eloquent but this is the gist of it... any questions????
