Default Buying 98 GS400 need help guys

Hey guys, I'm buying a 98 GS400. The seller is asking for $8800, however the car already have 140k miles on it. The car was recently serviced has a new time belting, water pump, engine fluid, brake pads, and tires. Is this worth the money? I am very concerned because of the high mileage. How many more miles do you guys think I can get out of this car? I would like it to last at least 5 more years.

Thanks

I bought my 98 with 150,000.
Your deal sounds good. Just make sure the steering components (tie rod ends and ball joints) are nice and tight.

I paid 14,500 for my GS400 with 119,xxx miles on it. My car is fully loaded with touch screen nav, I looked for the same car for about a month. Compared to other cars with less options I felt I got a good deal. The car is immaculate owner from down south no winters. Another reason I bought the car was that it had all the maintenance records from the dealership. Car runs great, and looks even better. Sounds like you got yourself a good deal to me!! Oh, one thing I always do is have my mechanic check a car before I buy it I would recommend you do the same.

If its in great condition then I dont see why it wouldnt last another 100k with no major problems. Just remember with older cars, things tend to break or get old. So there might be minor things to replace on down the line, but thats with any used car.
