Default Whats the biggest tire I can put on these wheels?

This is for a 98 GS300. I just got a set of wheels for free and was wondering what is the tallest and widest tires I can put on with these wheels?
18x7.5 +45 offset (front and rear)

I want to get the widest tire possible and tallest without rubbing. I will be dropping the car with Tein springs in the future.

That's an incredibly narrow wheel for the GS.

Stock is 17x8

Anything bigger than 235 is out of range for a 7.5" wide wheel.

245/35-18 or 245/40-18 call for a minimum of an 8" wide wheel.
A 255/35-18 calls for a minimum of an 8.5" wide wheel.

I'd stick with 225/45-18 to get some decent sidewall.
225/40-18 looks too short on the GS unless you SLAM the car.

Or, save up and get wider wheels. Staggered is a must for the GS!

I have the 16" stock wheels. I dont have the 17". My car currently have 215/60/R16. I figure 235/40/18 would be a lot better. So ditch these wheels and save money for a better set?

If you can get some 225/45 rubber on em for cheap, I'd use them for a while until you can save up for something better. Like you said though, it's better than stock!

p.s. I'm in the same boat with an 18" et42 and I've got 225/45. Rides nice.

245-45-18 would be perfect for this wheel spec. factory tire spec is 215-60-16 is 26.1 inches in OD and is 8.5 inches wide. the 245-45-18 is 26.7 inches in OD and is 9.6 inches wide. hope this helps you out.

yes 18x7.5 is narrow like SoCalSC4 said and they would look small on the GS.

There is nothing wrong with 7.5 width. The stock oem wheels on the GS are that width if you have 16s. YES you can use them and if they were free even better.
