Default Planning to install Xbox to factory Nav

I'm planning to install the Xbox to my factory navigation unit and this is the diagram I came up with. I already ordered all the parts hopefully they will arrive soon. Let me know what you guys think. Anyone that have done this please give some inputs.

I'm not sure about the picture quality with the tvandnav2go. Using the Audio Authority converter, it takes component in and outputs it to RGBs. I think the video probably be better. I hope.

Yeah. Just like the one Tranman had in his car or what ever that's easy to navigate and look stock.

Probably an IR extender and use the dvd remote. I also want to convert it to an ATX power supply that's design for auto application with a sickmod board. I'll have it auto power on and off after a delay so there won't be a problem when the engine starts.

I would LOVE to have that in my GS -- I have 2 modded Xboxes running XBMC at home and we use them all the time. I guess the tricky part would be transferring new files over to it to take on the road -- though I could always wire up an Ethernet port in the garage and make that process pretty simple.

I'll try to make a plug and play connector where ever possible that way I can just unplug the Xbox and bring it in the house to transfer files over.

This is what I got so far. My plug and play relay mounted on a socket.

does tvandnav2go make a component version of their converter? if so, definitely go with that, or even HDMI if they have it, because then your vid quality will be lightyears away from rgb even.

xbox FTW. i have one myself with xbmc and 320 gig hard drive. i never found a power supply for it so i just bought a power inverter. as far as how to transfer files. if you get a usb flash drive 4 gigs or smaller and the controller port usb adapter it is easy to do it that way. another idea on the skin is to use xtv skin and just pick a nice picture for a background.

You can get a ATX power supply design for carputer at mini-itx.com plus a sickmod ATX to Xbox converter to power your Xbox. This is much more efficient than using an inverter.
Thanks for the xtv skin suggestion. I guess I'll have to go in that direction because I haven't find any skin for XBMC that look factory.

I kind of got it working. However I'm not sure where to ground the shielding coming out of the VGA cable. I tried grounding all the shielding cables from the red, green, blue, grey to the frame but I just got scrolling picture. Does any one know where I need to ground the shielding cables? I found this post but didn't help. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...3&postcount=44
