Default Weird noise coming from suspension. Need assistance.

Hey,
I recently started getting weird noises coming from the suspension after the steering wheel is turned all the way and returned into position. The sound is like a snap and it usually occurs after the wheel was put into the normal forward position and the car is in motion.

I got a feeling the ball joins are about to snap. What do you guys think it is. I do not think I will have time to check it out this week but hopefully bring it to a shop by next week.

Thanks for the help guys!

Yeah, I am getting the same noise especially echoes snapping when I am in the garage and turning the wheel during the morning time. I too, think it might be the lower ball joints. I am going to have them inspected ASAP! They can cause a lot of damage if they break while your cruising.

Yeah I know. But should we change the entire control arms with new bushings or just go with new bushings and forget about it till next time??

My 2003 GS is slightly over 100k now.

I don't think they are the axle's because I have had cars that had bad axle's and this doesn't sound like it. Plus, the sound is coming from the front wheel well areas, not the rear.

As far as replacing the control arms with the ball joints, I think I am just going to pick the set from Sewell Lexus. They are about $136.00 minus the 15% off you get using the code CL19.

when you change the ball joints all you need to change are the ball joints.

So all I need to change is ball joints? Are there two sets on each side?

when changing ball joints, it cant hurt to inspect your control arms, i would definitely lean toward changing tie rod ends, and would definitely inspect just about everything else that's visible under there. Brakes, tires, and suspension are the things that will kill you if not maintained properly so you don't want to lax on anything.

There is the upper and lower balljoints in a corner. What you want to replace is the lower balljoint. There is only 1 lower balljoint per side so you'll end up ordering 2. Buy it from Sewell Lexus. Should be about 130 a pair.
